Myofasical Trigger Points
Description
Exercise Management of Special Populations: Myofascial Trigger Points
Doctors who specialize in pain managment and treatment suggest that 75% of chronic pain cases are caused by trigger points (small contraction knots in the body). These trigger points refer pain to all parts of the body, often to areas away from where they are located. To assist our clients in reversing these trigger points and to relieve their pain, we must know where to look and how to release these knots.
In this course you will learn:
Where the trigger points are located and where they refer the pain
How to release the trigger points and restore range of motion
How to design an exercise program to reduce the incidence of repeat trigger points, increase function and reduce pain
**Purchase of The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook is required for this course.
